Nationals of 120 countries can now go to Pakistan for pleasure or business using a simple free online visa process. This new technology considerably reduces administrative workload and accelerates processing times. To take advantage of this service qualified travelers must obtain a Visa Before Arrival using the Ministry of Interior’s online platform at least 48 hours before their scheduled entry.
Once granted, travelers are given an electronic authorization that must be provided upon arrival in Pakistan. This authorization enables them to get an entrance stamp for stays lasting up to 90 days with multiple entries.

Citizens of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates will find the process even simpler. These nationals are not required to apply for a Visa Before Arrival and may enter Pakistan without prior clearance.
This exemption applies to travel for tourism, business or Sikh pilgrimage purposes. These citizens would have easier access to Pakistan, which would boost tourism and business between the two countries.
Business travelers from qualified countries must provide additional paperwork under the Visa Before Arrival program. This comprises an invitation letter from a host entity in Pakistan copies of essential firm records, and the contact information for the host entity’s representatives.
They must also present documentation of a hotel reservation. Travelers must show documentation of a confirmed travel itinerary and hotel reservation from a travel agency that is approved in Pakistan. This new method intends to attract more international visitors while also assuring safe and organized admission into the country.
