Dubai Offers Priority Visa Services for Residents with 10 Years of Clean Records

Under a new government initiative, residents of Dubai who have complied with visa requirements for ten years will be eligible for awards starting next month.

According to the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA-Dubai), the program will also be available to those with work visas and those who are sponsored.

The most recent government initiative, called “The Ideal Face,” would also provide rewards to Emiratis who have sponsored employees who have maintained perfect residence records for ten years.

The benefits will include precedence for Ammer contact center requests, home services for senior visa requirements and access to counters at Amer facilities for expedited immigration procedures.

How to Apply?

On the official GDRFA-Dubai website qualified citizens must sign an obligation certificate to be eligible for the rewards. A digital certificate will be provided in their name after immigration officials have cross-checked it.

Infractions include renewing after paying overstaying fines or not renewing UAE residency visas and Emirates IDs on schedule.

The goal of the effort according to GDRFA-Dubai director general Lt Gen Mohammed Al Marri was to promote adherence to residence regulations, The National reported. “Encourages everyone to adopt positive behavior” is part of the UAE’s mission to preserve “a happy and sustainable society,” according to Lt. Al Marri.

According to Brig. Abdul Samad Hussein Suleiman acting assistant director general for the institutional support sector, the campaign conveyed a “strong message that every member of the community plays a role in attaining security and stability in the community and expressed appreciation for those who follow the law.

Good Encouragement:

After 15 years in Dubai, 42-year-old Moroccan resident Mukhtar Saad commended the government for the initiative, saying it “will encourage others to renew their residency on time.”

Salesman Mr. Saad stated, “Offering incentives to law-abiding residents is a step to encourage everyone to adhere to the residency laws in Dubai.” “Even though I’ve had two job changes, I’ve always made sure to renew my family and residency permits before they expire to avoid penalties.

He stated that it would be nice to have priority in the queue when updating the residency visa or when calling Amer Centre.

Mother-sponsored 28-year-old Farah Alramahi claimed the project will improve the emirate’s sense of community. She told The National, “I genuinely appreciate the new recognition as someone who has lived in Dubai for more than ten years.”

It enhances the sense of safety and community that makes Dubai such a special place to live in addition to rewarding citizens for their compliance. These kinds of projects motivate us to keep advancing the city’s goal of a safer and more prosperous future.

The process of renewing her mother’s visa domestically was the most intriguing aspect, she continued. It’s a great idea to have someone come home and complete the senior citizen visa process. It demonstrates Dubai’s concern for everyone.
