Dubai Introduces Golden Visas for Excellent Private School Teachers

Dubai: In honor of their major contribution to the city’s educational system, a new program has been introduced to grant golden visas to exceptional private school teachers.

In honor of International Teachers’ Day, Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum announced on social media that educators who have achieved success in the private education sector will be awarded golden visas by Dubai.

It is invaluable that you are committed to developing future leaders and upholding moral principles. You have a significant impact on shaping Dubai’s future and pursuing its audacious E33 education plan, he said.

The notification states that qualified educators may begin submitting their applications on October 15. Teachers employed by early childhood centers, private schools, and international higher education institutions (HEIs) are eligible to apply for the program.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Teachers must fulfill the requirements stated by the Emirates authorities to be eligible for the Golden Visa. These requirements include demonstrating exceptional academic achievement and making creative contributions to the field of education.
  • Candidates should possess advanced degrees such as a PhD, master’s degree or a fellowship or certified public accountant designation.
  • Candidates must also demonstrate that they have improved the standard of instruction at their particular institutions and received recognition or appreciation from the larger educational community.
  • The measurable contributions made to enhancing student outcomes such as academic advancement and graduation rates must be shown by successful candidates.
  • To be officially nominated by the board of governors of the school teachers must show quantifiable progress in helping certain student groups. The nomination should emphasize “outstanding leadership” and give particular justifications.

Who is Eligible to Apply?

  • Applications for this program are open to full-time faculty members senior administrative leaders in higher education institutions, academic heads of higher education institutions, school principals and leaders, administrators of Early Childhood Centres (ECCs) and teachers from both schools and ECCs.
  • Achieving a grade of “good” or higher in the Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau’s (DSIB) yearly assessment and maintaining or raising that level over time are additional requirements for principals.
  • Students, parents, staff and other stakeholders should give principals favorable comments regarding their leadership and the general atmosphere of the school.
  • Instructors in higher education should also showcase their research contributions by presenting documentation of their work that has been published in prestigious journals, research funding, joint ventures, consultancy reports or creative exhibitions.
  • Teachers who meet the standards of professional excellence must be nominated by their principal and get permission and support from the board of governors of the school.
  • Additionally, they must provide proof of student progress on both internal and external exams and assessments. Regarding teacher effectiveness, encouraging comments from students, parents and school administration is crucial.

How to Apply?

Employees who fit the requirements can be nominated by Dubai’s schools, early childhood centers and universities for the Golden Visa program.

Several important documents that candidates must submit include:

  • School rating reports from the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) (for principals)
  • Give out certificates
  • Student and parent testimonials and survey results
  • Testimonials from the staff (for academic heads, ECC managers and principals)
  • Proof of involvement in the community
  • Records attesting to enhanced student performance
  • Letters of nomination and recommendation from the Board of Governors

A committee will assess the applications and suggest a course of action to KHDA. It will then communicate with the relevant authorities and assess the applications. Instructors who satisfy the requirements will get notification of the success of their applications.
