Turkiye's Latest Tech Visa Program to Boost Global Entrepreneurs

Turkish authorities have introduced the Tech Visa Program which aims to stimulate the country’s economy by providing foreign entrepreneurs wishing to launch tech start-ups with accelerated three-year work licenses. In terms of Turkey’s ambition to become a global centre for tech innovation the Tech Visa Program represents a major step forward.

Key Features of the Tech Visa Program:

Accelerated Work Permits: For three years, tech entrepreneurs can reside and work in Turkey with the Tech Visa. This longer stay is meant to assist them in developing their companies and assimilating into the community, forming long-term plans and creating a steady presence in the nation.

Support Services: To assist with the legal and financial facets of establishing and operating a business in Turkey the Ministry of Industry and Technology is providing six months of consultation services. Technopark at Istanbul Airport: As part of its plan Turkiye is developing the largest technopark in the world at Istanbul Airport. This project is anticipated to strengthen Turkey’s standing as a major innovation and technology hub.

Terminal Istanbul:  An important step towards securing the city’s position as a global hub for technology will be the opening of Terminal Istanbul. A larger strategy to draw tech talent and investment to Turkey includes the new terminal.

Improving Local Workforce: Minister of Labour and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan stressed that the goal of the Tech Visa Program is to improve local workers in addition to drawing in new businesses. The skills of foreign entrepreneurs will improve Turkey’s innovation ecosystem.

Digital Nomad Visa: Turkey has introduced the Digital Nomad Visa program in conjunction with the Tech Visa.
